Shrubbery Nightingale Park The Shrubbery Nightingale Park in Darjeeling is a beautiful public place where you can enjoy the magnificent view of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas. It takes about ten minutes to walk to the park from the Mall, one of Darjeeling's main destinations. Walking through the park, you can see breathtaking pine trees on one side, while on the other side you have a view of the beautiful snow-capped mountains. When the British ruled India, the park became the private courtyard of Sir Thomas Tartan's bungalow. In 1934, when it was completely destroyed by an earthquake, it was reopened to the public. After the park was redesigned, the paths around it intersected with all the others in the park. It looks beautiful at first sight. There are seating areas across the park near the boundary wall.
